CRM Essential work needs to carried out on the current CRM system prior to its replacement going live on 14th September therefore the current CRM application will be unavailable from end of working day Friday 10th September.

Loss of IT services due to planned power outage Power to a number of buildings will be turned off this coming weekend (11/12 September) to enable necessary works to be undertaken.

The areas affected are Sir Robert Hadfield Building (Engineering Materials) and adjacent/connected buildings housing Chemical and Biological Engineering.

All IT services (data and voice) will be lost in these areas during the duration of the power outage. The buildings will, in any case, be closed as a result of the works.

Additionally, voice services in Broad Lane Court will be lost throughout this period.

Unknown Email Service Issues As a result of a major disc failure the University staff and postgraduate email system has been unavailable.

09:30 Thursday 2nd Sept - update.

The email service is now available for all staff and postgraduate users.

For some users there may be a small number of emails missing from their inbox. These will have been delivered to the University between the evening of Thursday 26 August and the morning of Wednesday 1st September. We are working hard to recover these emails from back up copies. We expect to have this completed within the next 2 days.

Student Computing Rooms Closing for Refurbishment Over the summer some of CiCS IT Centres will be closing for refurbishment work, all will be reopening in September.
